Happy New Year all:
I have come into possession of several blackwood chanters with varying degrees of warping. Some are slightly convex on the hole side, with others concave. Rather odd, as I would think that they would bend one way or the other based on the holes.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of any technique or method for "unwarping" chanters.
Thanks

Yeah, this happened to me! I'd bought an expensive BW chanter (I wont mention the brand name, as they sponsor this site) and it warped into a nice bananna shaped bow. Really bad, and really obvious.

This is the technique I used to deal with the problem: I went back to the reputable dealer who sold it to me, showed them the chanter, and let them do their reputable dealer thing and replace it. I think that's about the only technique that'll work with a warped chanter!
