I can use help here gang.
I have a reed fitted for my kron Medallist. I have been using it for the 2008 season and it's been great. However, with the weather warming, I am finding that my pitch has creeped from 477 to around 481+ and that is a bit too sharp for me in solo competition ( afraid of getting marks such as "THIN top hand").
Looking back at my notes,I notice this particluar brand of chanter reed tends to pitch pretty darn high.
Question: Do certain makes of reeds want to pitch lower/higher than others, and if so can anyone point me in the right direction???
Thanks guys,
Davey the Frustrated
