Drum Corporal Duties

Is anyone aware of where there might be some printed info. regarding duties and responsibilities of this rank? BTW there is no Sgt. position presently above this rank. We have a newly appointed Drum Corporal who could use some black and white guidance (our band recently lost our P/M to a 6mth "break" from the band-this was announced virtually days after the appointment.)

Found the below while cruising the web.Is requirements of Band Members at St.Andrews
to obtain promotion to the rank of drummer corporal.Hope it helps a bit.....Cheers,

Must be able to perform all proscribed band tunes of any time signature, as well as at least one each of a funeral lament, 2/4 competition march, strathspey, reel and jig.
Must have completed Book 3 of Pipe Band snare Drum Method
Must be able to tune snare drum on its own
Must perform regularly with the Pipes and Drums
Must be able to complete basic maintenance and repairs
Must be willing and able to instruct beginners.
Must be willing to perform at all functions that call for a solo drummer with piper.

Thanks! How come you have answers to all my questions?? :cool: I uncovered an old "book" put together years ago by our first P/M, but your bit wasn't there. I'll add it to the pile. We really need to give this young guy some direction and support.

Cause I have entirely too much time on my hands.I also cruise the web quite a bit and find odd tidbits of info that no one else cares about. :D
