I am not sure where to post this but I guess the beer tent is most approporiate. To the friends I have met in this form--- I did not sent you porn. I found that an attachment I had opeaned contained a trojan horse (I suspect it was one that I thought was from "AOL prize patrol",guess I am not to bright) and it sent emails out from my address book. My face is red and I wish I could find the one who did this to me --they would have no interist in this type of activity ever again.

Pop, time to look into a good anti-virus and firewall!

And don't forget to keep them updated with a subscription service.

Enjoy!

Hi Pop,
My antivirus software intercepts garbage like you described very often. What happened to you can be embarrasing, but it is not your fault. I did not get anything untoward from you either my friend.

It was the AOL prize patrol, but it was not from AOL,as any fool should have known. I do not know how I fell for it because normaly I am a skeptic about "free lunches". A day older and a day wiser I guess.

If I MUST have spam, I prefer it lightly fried (a minute or two per side on a hot skillet) and on toasted bread, with a little mustard - the spicy stuff, not the useless yellow glop. :D

Cheers -

I'm closing this topic but I'll leave it here for information purposes as was Pop's intent. It treads the line of discussions about SPAM etc. as outlined in our rules but isn't a real problem so I'll leave it for now.

The reasoning behind the ban on spam and virus discussions in many forums is that they tend to get out of hand and although usually well intended, they are more often than not the result of hoaxes and misinformation.
