What the point of this fourm?

I see most pple don't really post here.

Maybee we can have a " Reeds " fourm....that way we can talk about reeds and stuff...what does everyone else think??????

The point of this forum is for Drum Majors (or those interested in D/Ms) to post questions or disucssions. Most people probably don't post here because either they aren't interested or the forum is still too new. Until more of the drum majors in the pipe band community chime in, there will likely be little discussion. :shrug:

As for reeds, why not have a look at the technique/instrument forum? :thumb:

I want to add to Kevin's answer here..

We are (incredibly I think because it is a bit hard to step away an think about this) actually creating and defining a new style of communication for pipers, drummers, band members, dance folks (?) and others with like interest. Yes Newsgroups, email lists, etc have been around for years, but none looked quite like this place, and none were anythink like us in terms of activity or content either. A year ago I would not have guessed that our Forums would look as they do, and I think in a year they will have continued to evolve and change a bit also. The simple fact is that we keep finding more and more people that want to be involved, and when I see a subject / topic area that is interesting, related, and not clearly fitting in an existing Forum.. we try to give 'em a place of their own..

Reeds - very clearly they have a place for discussion - but Drum Majors - lots of 'em out there.. and no obvious forum for them.. so here they go..

And Kevin has kindly volunteered to help us ... :hatoff:
