How many of you out there will be in NYC this weekend? I am actually going to be there, out in front of my band.... hard to believe I am going to be doing my FIRST parade as a D/M in NYC! WOOOHOOO!

You are looking at around 39ºF at 2:00 PM and possible light showers. Stay warm.

39 degrees...that's WARM man!!!! I need to find a rain cape pronto....if it rains, then I don't have to wear the feather bonnet...hmmm do I pray for rain or not??

Relax, have fun, and wear the bonnet. Looks like the rain will pass you by today. I hope so. Big cold front pushed through here last night. High today of only 66. We'll freeze our pleats off. Send pictures of your parade.

All I can say is: WHAT A RUSH!!!!!!! That was the BEST parade I have ever marched. Awesome crowd...best hands down. I was amazed at how loud they were, but not out of control.
When we turned the corner to get onto Fifth Ave, it was AMAZING!! Can't even describe it.
I did well. Fired up a few tunes when the other D/M was back in the ranks attending to some stuff. Stepped us off a few times. Pretty cool!!!Thanks for all the advice and support!

...And someone in another thread was complaining about the cold!

Hunter, you probably don't want to hear that our parade was 90 degrees and sunny, huh? :)
Kevin, I was thinking about all you poor folks sweating thru that long hot parade while I was having my Morning Irish coffee in the pub!

Yeah, it was a little tiny bit cold up in NYC... but so worth it.
