Not wanting to start a thread, I would like to ask the following question just the same.
Do we have somewhat of an authority on the last 200 years of politics in Ireland.
I'd like to discuss a very brief overview of the country, without having to weed through twenty websites that are 90% of what I don't want to know! A brief phone conversation or a few emails should do the trick.

:)

Hi Tommy,
You can email me at Irishwarpiper@aol.com. This is not to say I am an authority, but can answer some questions as to my experience with friends and family in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
If I don't know the answer, I have friends who do know and can put you in contact with them or get the answer for you.
Dave.

Liz Dunsire has just done a report for school. She could offer you some opinions I am sure

Thank you for your time and the education, David.
That's exactly what I was looking for.

Tommy,
Your welcome. Hope to see you at the Games. I will be close to the Guinness taps.
Dave

Alright, but I got the first round!

I found a sample of the "Irish National Tartan", it's gorgeous.
