What started out as a curiosity has turned into a fun project.

Charley Kron has agreed to add a page to his web site for Kron Chanter owners. It will have the format of a testimonials page.

We are working out the details, so stay tuned.

You may want to get ready with a short bio, chanter model and #, and a written testimonial.
I think we'll have the opportunity to post pics also.

Yes, and what's really cool (to me anyway) is that the history of each numbered chanter could be traced. Nothing like establishing a provenance - it may add to the value of the chanter.

~ For instance ~
My chanter was played by Chris Hamilton.

Okay, so he was only tuning and testing the reed I ordered with the chanter

Howdy.

I play Medallist #H124. It is the finest chanter I have played to date, in 34 years of piping.

Background: I started at age 6, got my first pipe chanter with my first pipe, a Hardie, at age 8, and have since played 2 other Hardies, 6 Sinclairs, 7 Naills, 4 MacFarlane/Travailles, 2 Mac Hargs, 3 Gibsons, and 1 MacCallum.

OK - I think we're off track here.. I really want to save this (specific) forum just for announcements..

Lots of other places to discuss (any)Chanter :thumb:

So - Announcement done.. other forums / threads available to continue discussion(s).. lets not confuse anyone :humm:

This thread is closed.. :hatoff:

Cheers,
Bob
