I haven't heard anything yet, but I expect to see John Holland up at the top in Grade 2 solo.

Heard his Piobaireachd and it sounded really good, but I left before the results came in. I suspect he may be the winner of grade 2.

Official results are now posted at: http://results.mwpba.org

Sorry for the delay as I have moved from Chicago to North Carolina but will continue to update the MWPBA website.

Joe, Enjoy North Carolina! I'm not too familiar with most of the state, but my wife and I really enjoyed some vacation time in the Outer Banks. The mwpba website is fantastic, keep up the good work.

found out the MWPBA does not list your band if you are not a MWPBA member which I found out Cincinnati is not, it only lists the MWPBA s in order of finish for their points......

I see Balmoral Highlanders of Pittsburgh coming in first in grade 4. They are in the EUSPBA. Did they compete in both events?

The Balmoral Highlanders won both these Grade IV contests.

Rick C...

The actuality of the situation is that Cincinnati did not compete in the MWPBA contest. They only competed in the EUSPBA circle. The MWPBA website posts only results from the MWPBA circle. Cincinnati was not eliminated from the placings; they did not compete in an MWPBA contest.

Solos were not EUSPBA sanctioned only the band. The calendar has (Band) next to the event.

As far as I know, a band could compete in each association's band competition that day, and most bands did compete in each competition.

Each competition was held in a different circle with a different set of judges.

Cincinnati Caledonian only competed in the EUSPBA because that's all we felt like doing that day, plus quite a few people had to leave right after the competition and head home.

We didn't compete in the MWPBA circle that day. Had we competed in MWPBA, we would have been included in the overall standings on the MWPBA website, even though we are EUSPBA.

I think a lot of people are confused because they are under the impression that if you are in an association, you can only compete in that association's events.

You can can compete in any association's events as long as you are registured with any other association.
