I'm sorry that I missed hearing the Rory O'Moore band, but thought that there was some very nice chanter sound coming out of the top two grade 4 bands-- better than I'm accustomed to hearing in that grade, especially given the hot weather. They (Dalriada and Roisin Dubh) sounded great!

We had three new pipers make it into our G4 medley group during the past two contests. We are hoping to build a solid pipe section to go along with the drumming.

Gimp No worries, I left right after you. All I could think about on my ride home was 'need sleep'. Oh, and some aloe for my purple face!
I'm almost back to tomato color now. Apparently I need something the SPF of a darth vader mask.

Did the awards announcer deliberately say our name as "Ulster county" and not "Ulster Scottish", as it should be? I'm sure his paperwork said Ulster Scottish. I mean, I realize it's an Irish Feis, but come on! I believe he did it last year, too. Did somebody put him up to saying that? :humm:

Indeed he did. Atleast if he said 'ulster province' or something it would have made sense... My favorite highlight of the ceremony was "do I have time to tell a story??" to which we all responded "NOOOOO!"
