Hi all, up until about 18 months ago I was living in NY and taking private lessons every week. Then I moved to Warrington, PA and life got in the way and I had to stop. Now I would like to start playing again with the goal of ultimately playing in a good competition band. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding a private instructor in the Bucks County area?
Thanks for your help!

You may want to try going to Ulster Scottish. www.ulsterscottish.org (http://www.ulsterscottish.org) and contacting us . Several band members live in your area and we practice at Villanova.
We currently have a Grade 3 & a Grade 5 band, maybe soon to be Grade 4.

Yep!! Check out Ulster... In fact, the PM for the Grade V lives in Warminster, as do a handful of the pipers and drummers in the band... Most of us travel further, but it's definitely worth the level of instruction and the atmosphere within the band!

If you ever want to get in the Chester,Lancaster,Lebanon County area there are a number of pipe bands. Ceol Neamh Pipe Band meets In Lancaster County (Manhiem Township) offer free beginner lessons, and has a grade III and Grade IV band. Quitapahilla Highlanders are from around Lebanon county and meet in Annville.
I am taking my chanter lessons with Ceol Neamh so I am somewhat biased, but I can tell you, you will not be dissapionted if you give them a turn.
Off topic, but I couldn't resist. My brother lives in Warrington and my sister in Warminster. Neither plays pipes but if you ever want guitar lessons, my brother is waiting!
We grew up in Hatboro. :woohoo:
Merry Christmas, Y'all!
