Hi, I've recently joined this website after shooting a short film about Piping with McCallum bagpipes in Kilmarnock, Scotland. I'm producing new filmed content for a fresh new Scots-based website, www.scotlandontv.tv (http://www.scotlandontv.tv)

We had such a good response to our film, it struck us that we were only scraping the surface regarding the many and varied opinions and perspectives on piping, pipe bands, traditional and modern music practices, festivals, innovations etc. To this end i'd like to ask you, the pipers, just WHAT aspects of bagpiping you'd like to see filmed and focused on? we're interested in bringing the many and varied societies, organizations and agencies together to create involved, informed and interesting filmed items to drive traffic to our new site!

All help, suggestions and enquiries most welcome,

best wishes,

nige

PS: I've JUST got my 1st Chanter! it's hard-graft blowing it though, phew.....

Thanks for asking

Yes, thanks for asking.

Perhaps something on how the tradition is being carried on with the young, focusing on the educational programs (whether in schools, junior bands, workshops or other), competitions and so forth in various parts of the world.

How about the different uniforms of pipe bands.
What tartan they wear. Why certain bands wear certain tartans the history of bands that stuff would be interesting not only for people in pipe bands but for everyone else too.
