Hey guys I've seen this done before, but this morning I was given a new baby,,,,,,,,, The creative side of my brain isn't working right now, any ideas for a Scottish name for this cute lil bundle o fur?? She is about 8 weeks old and was found on the side of the road by a local police officer who knew I had lost my other baby awhile back,,,,,, Any ideas would be helpful :smokin:

Just PLEEAAAAASSSEEEEE don't give her a name as "manly" as your previous pooch...."Angus McCrotchsniffer".

Well Folks , I said I'de keep the name thing open til one jumped out at me and It has!!! Another Drum Major PM'd me and gave me the suggestion of "Macie", and me being the proud and pompous D/M that i am thought "Macie" would be great!!!! Now I've always got something with Mace in it, either in my hand ( whether it be canned or a stave) or in the name of me puppy.
SO thanks to all for your input but I shall now begin the christening of "Macie" ,
We will hencforth and forever, from now on, by the power invested in me by the state of intoxication, do hereby name this lil ball of fur , "Macie". So let it be written , so let it be done!!! :smokin:
How about:
Lawrie, or MacDogal
or, Macey

Whiskey instead of Scotch (just moved to the Staes from Scotland so people have been told to hit me if I call it Scotch at any point!!)
We had a German Shephard called Cullin (after the hills in Skye) and now have a Westie called Aonghus. :)

Alba - gaelic for Scotland.
Sheena, my best friends name.
MacBean, her sirname. (yes, Sheena MacBean)
Glen....we've had numerous dogs called Glen. i don't know if its very scottishy though!
Ah wait....he're's a good one...we once called our sheepdog this for a laugh -
"mach a seo" (pronounced macha shoch. No, not makka shok.) It means "get lost" in gaelic.
I can just imagine you shouting the dog.. "Come here, mach a seo!!"

(And there's always Hamish if you want a common scottish name for a dog! )
