My dog, Wedge, on the left, and his brother Queep, after a morning of playing Frisbee. Two hard working, great, dogs. If you know Aussie Shepherds, you know what I mean.

They have that " Let us go herd a hundred sheep now " expressions on their face.

I had a fabulous Aussie when I was a child.

No other dog will ever compare.

Enjoy your boys!!

That's too funny!

I'm a dog-person too, and when I saw the subject line I automatically thought, "Oh, a dog post!" Then I realized where I was, and figured... "Oops, probably a band from Australia!"

It's always fun to be right for a change!

Great shot!

Don,

even a cat-fancier like myself finds your Aussies great.

Just don't let them near Fiona:

Yup, I have to admit they're two great dogs. They were born in a litter of thirteen, which was amazing since the mom dog was only 40 pounds. Wedge, Queep and another pup were the biggest of the litter and "out of standard" for Aussies so they were quite a bargin. Wedge is hitting 65 pounds and Queep is around 55 pounds. Quite a bit bigger than what most people think of for Aussies. They are both Frisbee dogs and are just a hoot to take to the park. We get people who walk in the park in the morning, stopping just to watch the boys run and catch their Frisbees. They each have their own disk and wont touch the others. Wedgie has also adopted one of our cats and cares for him like it belongs to him.
BTW, cute cat Fred.

Those fine dogs remind me of two of my Dad's dogs. The one on the right is near a clone of Angus, who was California state champion herding dog for a while in the middle 70's. The one on the left is pretty much a twin for Mossa, Angus' sister, who is stellar both for her herding, and biting my younger brother in his bits, which elicited a sound much like Pakistani pipes for a few minutes. He should not have provoked her. It's probably a bad idea to teach them to get you beers from the fridge though.

Kirsten,

I luvd the site!!! Thanx!!!

Still I protest - wee Fiona above has nuthin in her wee hert but peace and goodness.

Now Migoo down here is a good candidate - since his early days living inside my spòran he already gave displays of bad mood...

I saw a bumper sticker today.

"My Australian Shepherds are smarter than your honor role student."
