I had the oppotunity to play a set of P3's a while back (loved em by the way), but I am know looking to get a set of DB-2's ( I believe that is the new way of numbering the AB-1 :wink: ). I was wondering what drone reeds you would recommend for the drones for a really nice deep bass and complementing tenors. I have been doing a lot of searching, but as I live no where near any place to give a listen to different pipes and reeds, I thought I would ask. I have been giving thought to the Ross Omega's and the Wygent Duatones with the Andre bass. Just wanted your 2 cents :D

Hi;

First, you are correct, our new DB2 used to be called our AB1. With our new Blackwood model (DB1's), we needed to revamp our item numbers, so I firgured to reduce confusion, I would change them entirely (DB stands for Dunbar Bagpipes).

If you have read my response on reeds for our Poly pipes, all of those also work very well in our Blackwood's, but I would also add Kinnaird's to the list. I know Jim McGillivray really likes the Kinnaird's in our pipes.
