Playing PC without the cap

... Or like an oboe :p, I find it more comfortable sometimes. When My lips get tired from playing the PC I will sometimes remove the cap and just play it with the reed in my mouth.

Do any of you play like this sometimes?

This does little / less to develop your embrochure. Also, learning to circular breathe can have you playing pc for almost unlimited periods...except for an occasional beer.

I only do it when my lips are sore and tired, then once they are better Iíll usually place it back on again.

When ever there is "too long" in between practices...
it is never the fingers... nor the lungs... that go... but
always... the lip!! :) ("Twas ever thus. :)

And when having then re-gained the pc... and the air
begins to spew out the sides :) ... many the time I have
played the pc... "oboe style"... :)

And... I would think this not... un-common... :)
