Another Paradigm Shift in Pipe Banding

If you ask me, this ranks right up there with synthetic drone reeds and the c natural in terms of paradigm shifts in the pipe banding world.

For the non-FB types, it's a McCallum branded, folding (like fit in a pipe case folding) drink carrier that will hold up to 4 plastic/etc. cups of your favorite beer tent libation. Perfect for carrying 4 pints on the long hoof back to your band tent from the beer tent, to share with bandmates.

Or just to keep you from having to make that hike 4 times.

Take my money now!

I don't recall the precise number, but cannot one fit 12 beers on a standard drum?

Do you suppose they can make a holder for holding several holders?

Re: Another Paradigm Shift in Pipe Banding

Greetings to All,

Gone... it would seem... are the days... when the
then... Old Fellows... and the Young Men... could
easily march... on a hot... Summer's day parade...
and for a couple of miles... and without... holders...
and straws... and packs of surgically-tubed liquids...
dangling about...

Now don't get me wrong... I do not wish for any to
fall over with heat stroke... or become de-hydrated
on a very cold day.

If something is needed... then carry it... if seemly...

Many... back in The Day... had a neat flask tucked in
their sporrans... and some actually swore... that it was
water!! :)

But... and all of that... notwithstanding... may I simply
ask... what has happened... ??

Regards to All,

Pip01

Although my parade days are behind me, in my experience, the best
beer you will ever taste is the first one after a three mile trek on a
30 degree plus Celsius day.
To take away the anticipation of that libation seems WRONG!
Cheers

Re: Another Paradigm Shift in Pipe Banding

pray tell what is so wrong with a Hydration Pack with a chilling bladder adjacent to a proper consumable which doth provide cheer to a weary traveler? Cold beer while in route to a completion point is a very worthwhile investment. Even if I must stop imbibing momentarily to produce a tune or two upon the pipes. Please note that a Camelbak (Tm) can fit under a pipe bag cover and few would ever be the wiser.
