Yes, there is a considerable difference between an easy and a hard reed. But you don't have to play a hard reed. Most people will play a medium or an easy.

Have tried most and always return to the Shepherds. Though I would say that I have had excellent results with Troy MacAllister too.

Yeah, used too much. Put a small sausage shaped piece in instead of a bb shape.

Set up the xtreme with the blu tack today, got them tuning nice and high on their pins. What revalation the reeds...
