If you send a picture I can show it to the same specialist who has done a very nice work on my bass mid-section tuning pin without replacing it.
He was even a bit disappointed the part was not too...

Problem with old chanters is first a matter of reeds.

And they are lots of old available and still in good shape on the market if only one skilled reed maker would like to lost his time to test...
