Typically, a moose valve and a water tube trap is all I need for about an hour of playing before I start to go flat here. Exceptions are the really scorching humid days when temps are north of 88*.

One would think so, but on the hot days, that slow melting of ice seems to cool the air just enough that keeps things stable. I used to add water to the bag, and found it led to faster drop in pitch...

I thoroughly enjoyed this thread.

If the temps are a bit high and you and you wish to have the reed not sky rocket and shrill out on the top hand, adding some crushed ice to thebg as you warm up...

I alway had good results when out of adjustments to add a thin piece of thick tape (gaffers, etc..) to the tongues in need of strengthening. other things need to be adjusted as a result of course...
