I'm almost positive that reeds are made of materials also, and while I think technically a grass, they look very like and behave like wood. I'm sure that another major component of reeds is hemp.

Also they are up for $750 on the TP, to my mind that's a lot for an old damaged set of Kintails.

I never had a problem getting my Naills to tune anywhere from 466 to 484 with a selection of reeds, EZ, Canning, Selbie, Crozier (Omega and carbon), Kinnaird and cane.
