Re: Favorite blowstick? And worth it to repair a blowstick?

Yes. He lost because his blowpipe was ghastly. Ghastly. GHASTLY! It was Stu's Ghastly Blowpipe of Shame. The audience was clearly aghast. It's an outrage.

It's not about the music. It's...

Re: Tone Protector vs. Pipers Pal

Now I remember you. You’re the troll who wandered in here 8 months ago and started a time-wasting crapfest with your long-winded, weird, and annoying comments about Colin Kyo chanters and Murray...

Re: Tone Protector vs. Pipers Pal

Nice to know that you have the edge on all the silly rubes out there.

Where can I send money to get you to stop typing?

Re: Tone Protector vs. Pipers Pal

I went back and forth with my ToneProtector, but I've now figured it out in terms of what it does to a reed, and I always use it.

First, I tried using a Piper's Pal for years with varying results....

Re: Queen's Piper on hiatus

Outrageous! Indeed, someone must inform that clueless rube that some insightful piper of great standing in the States finds fault with him! Hopefully he will address his horrible habits quickly. ...

Re: Most comfortable chanter you've played?

I really like my Kron Medalist chanter, but I’m working with my McC2 a bit more lately - I like the McCallum’s punch and bark, but the hole layout is more challenging. Also thinking of trying a Kyo....

Re: Most comfortable chanter you've played?

I always thought that chanter blowing resistance was entirely the result of the reed, and only the reed. Seems to me that the amount of air flowing through a reed/chanter at any given time to sound...

Re: Most comfortable chanter you've played?

My most comfy chanter is one that is playing in tune, with an excellent reed at my preferred strength.

Re: BlowPro Pressure Monitor

I'm intrigued with the BlowPro device too. I like the physical simplification of that approach - no tube, all drones free to play, lightweight.

One thing I do like with Jori's Bagpipe Gauge...

I had trigger finger surgery on my right hand ring finger about, mmm, maybe 4 years ago. A short 3-4 week healing period followed, where I constantly pushed the limits of what they said I should do...

Re: A# vs. Bb
