Re: Most durable synthetic bag?

I've said it before here...they all leak..bags should be made out of a synthetic rubber similar to that of a hot water bottle...with a drain spigot..durable and leakproof.

Re: Best drone reeds for 1990's Kintail

You're correct about the Ezees..it could just be that you have a bad reed..happened to me and no amount of adjustment could settle it...try swapping the tenor reeds in each drone...and check for a...

Re: Piper at Blenheim Palace?

Re: Be Not Afraid

I play it quite often at church services...fits well without being awkward...yes, it does start on Low G to the low A..you should be able to figure out where it goes from there...sorry, I don't have...

Re: Piper cuffed and roughed for playing too loud on the Royal mile!

The guy basically got himself in cuffs by trying to be some kind of street lawyer...and the friend aggravated the situation with his comments and filming ensuring that the cuffs weren't coming off...

Re: Army issue bagpipes?

I own a lovely set of circa 1950's Army Hardies that are stamped with the arrow/crow's foot on the drone slides...the Pipes were owned and purchased directly from a Pipe Major of the Argylls and his...

Re: Selling pipes (not an ad)

To my mind, the Kintails in question are certainly worth $550, if not $750...the 2 damaged mounts are inconsequential and are easily replaceable at minimal cost...if they sound like sets that I know...

Re: Army issue bagpipes?

It has been written here before I believe, that Army Pipes were assembled from boxes of individual sections, ie, bass and tenor tops and bottoms, chanters, etc, that were stored in the quartermaster...

Re: Old Henderson Tone

Re: Reeding a new Naill chanter

The older ones are notoriously flat on B and D....always needed carving..wonderful chanters though...I've found that they needed warming up of the wood to reach proper intonation...the old...

Re: Well-known pipers who play easy reeds?
