So I'm working on a set of 3/4 lawries just oiled the bores with almond oil... the seem not to be stable right now.. play like part of a 2part 3/4 drones go out of tune. The pipes haven't been oiled...

starting off slow is the best even with 6/8 marches 2/4 marches and 3/4

start at some where in the 30's or 40's bpm while learning the tune

2/4 ruffly 72 is fast for beginners
so work up to...

I would think the big difference is in the pitch.
they are gear to tune more in the 470 and lower pitches and people are looking for 475 and up for the most part

Alot of them a are good chanters...

well if you look at the chanters there atleast from the 80's
they could be a concert b flat chanter but still not sure how or the fingering that would get a hi b i could see going flatter but...

it is on the short side and adjustable but that is the only angle i seem to get where it is sorta comfortable. I i extend it i wants to go to the right side of the mouth no matter what angle i have...
