Looking st the OP eBay link it shows a disc of the turned material in one of the photos....looks pretty ‘ convincing’.....same material pix found under the resin ivory search. Wonder why more makers...

I’d be willing to bet good £ there might be a few sets in the circles among the very lowest grades. But not in or above Grade 3.

What is the lowest grade at the world’s ,anyway?

Have you checked out the makers mark..e.g. P.N. or D&N for reference?...in ‘51 it might well have been P.N. The successor Dalman & Narborough might be a resource....but practically speaking...

I don’t know the target tuning spec for the Dunbar chanter...but 472hz seems low/flat for one made in 2017. Have you asked them?

By comparison...e.g. poly Mccallum mk3 chanters are pitched...

A scented clothes dryer ‘softener’ sheet or two tucked under the kilt does wonders to ward off no-see-um’s. If you can stand it..one bibbed under the shirt front... ditto.
