Use the Zoom settings to decrease the microphone sensitivity when playing and then increase it when speaking. It's a pain though to remember that you have to readjust all the time.

I have found Sound Spectrum Pro (https://www.lindentree.eu/sounds.php) to be a very useful tool in analyzing the harmonic response of the drones and chanter.
