‘Howling’ ( trailing) after the end of a tune is simply a bad stop. Operator error..

If you’re already playing soutar and happy with it ...why not get a medium Soutar.
Fwiw...Shepherd standard reeds get my vote. Try a couple of easy and essy-medium strength. Pipers Hut ..OH.

To me it appears the Ceol sole-less foot closely mimics the Willie McCallum McC2 Gold chanter...ala the added ferrule like shoulder bead turned in.
Not so with a sole-less Sinclair. ?
