I've read every pipe band snare drumming book released since the 1980s. The "IN YOUR HANDS" book by D2 percussion is the clearest and most complete guide for this style. D2 also provides online...

I was thinking the same thing. I love the FFXPB because the top snare was different.

At least they kept the knobs on the bottom snare.

The Carlton Gaelic did have a wonderful sound. I would say the best sound on parade using duraline or plastic heads. The mirror finish looked great with saffron kilts too!
