Correct Andrew, but I suspect that term is more industry-related. Any malacca cane has a ridge. It just depends on how pronounced the ridge from the particular node being used.

Hey Mongo! The inner core consists of wood, metal and two types of foam. The amount of each is what changes the weight and density on each model. It is far different than other brands!

Hi Neilly, thanks for your post. I can assure you that the unique design aspects of the mallet, namely the inner core of the head is different than ACE Percussion or any other mallet on the market....
