Re: The current WUSPBA Instructor Rule...

Truthfully, who really cares if an instructor leads a gr4 band in competition or not?

That decision should be left to the individual bands that can use all the help they can get.
All this talk of...

Re: The current WUSPBA Instructor Rule...

The large winning...

Re: The current WUSPBA Instructor Rule...

I know of another band that had a negative impact when an inexperienced player was forced to lead the band.

If the rule is not helping, why have it?

The new policy is only creating a lot of...

Re: Pleasanton Games

The six piper limit is unreasonable when just one member can't make it and a band is forced to be DQ'd.

Is that fair to the drummers and the rest who have worked hard and have to sit out because...

Re: WUSPBA judge testing food for thought

I would hope that passing the written exam is only the first step in the process of receiving a judging accreditation award.

As Bob mentioned, a history of successes must be part of the package...

Re: Pleasanton Gr.1

Good standard of play by all bands including the Chicago band too. Really liked LA Scots jazzy version of Atholl Highlanders for their opener.

Did Steve Megarity's socks stay on this year?

Re: Forumites in Pleasanton

You should be used to grade oners, there's enough of them in your band.

Re: Pleasanton Games

It certainly is frustrating when just one member can make or break a band, hope you all gain a few more members in the near future.

I understand that Tom Robinson from the 78th will be working...

Re: Pleasanton Games

I agree, a good quality competition with very tight results. The packed arena is very impressive too with an appreciative audience.

Re: Marana Police Band

Just curious why you felt the need to start a new band in the backyard of the Seven Pipers pipe band when you knew full well that they were looking for pipers?

Why did Mike have to call the cops...

Re: recording of Competitions by Games committee

I'd like to think that the piping world is much bigger than squabbling over petty money issues.

When the day comes that it's all about money, you can count me out!
