Yes I knew john in the seventies when he was caretaker at the royal Caledonia school bushy. he taught pipes as well as other duties.

I attended the London Scottish cadets when I was a kid..& was told by the pipe sergeant who was ex army I was to old at 14 to learn the pipes ..I ignored him.
I am now 83. Alough I don't play...
