That's what I was worried about, it's a specific timed sound that I hear and want to emulate in the tunes... I feels it's a specific "theme" note part of the overall effect.

Recently I have found two 6/8 marches I'd like to try to tackle, but both tunes have a rhythmic device in them I'm having trouble figuring out. The first tune is "The 72nd's Farewell to Edinburgh"...

Nope .. the reeds I have are adjustable ... but I do believe that the polypenco material creates a warmer tone than the injection molded reeds.

BTW .. that set of reeds on that web site .......

The bass drone on my Drumran drones has been virtually impossible to reed up with anything except cane or Balance Tone reeds.

Well... I've had a set of Soutar adjustable reeds sitting around...

Well... got my Easy Drone reeds today.

Two day shipment .. I couldn't be happier.

Plugged them in and adjusted the grub screws for the hemp line and played for an hour and a half. Pipes...

Ahhh not quite... I have an identical bag setup on another set of pipes that I am using Easy Drones on ... and I can Play till I'm "blown" out .. usually about two hours, set the pipes down for...

Yeap a moisture issue. I had one that started to do a high pitched whistle though .. I looked at the blade and it looks like it lost it's tension.

I tried some adjustments .... and nothing...

Yeap .. yer right about that..

My pipes are a set of it seems to be middle 90's Drumran Drones which sound great when everything is working.

Since these seem to be relatively obscure...

I was watching the 2009 Northern Meeting Contest and his pipes just seemed too have so much more presence than than the other pipes.
