Re: Tying in a new bag

I bet your instructor could help via Skype too. No sense not getting their input, even if you're doing the work.

A couple of thoughts - I would get the bag pre-cut if you can, unless you are...

Re: Bagpipe Humidification

I'm with John; same here.

I'm in Western NY and it is pretty dry here in the winter. I keep a single clay humidifier in each of my cases and that's enough to keep them at ~50% humidity, even if...

Re: APC Guide to Pibroch

FYI, I get "Item Not Available" when I follow your link on iOS. Searching the iTunes store does not find it either.

Best,
Matt

Re: Drone Reed Recommendation for 1910 Hendersons

Currently playing a full set of the standard Xtremes. Definitely mellower than Kinnairds. My set are WW1 era, made of ebony.

Ezee tenors + Kinnaird bass is a nice combo too, though maybe not...

Re: Canning Carbon bass/EZ Tenors

I've played both styles of Canning bass and they are good, but it just depends on the sound you are after. Depends on the pipes, depends on the setup, depends on the piper, etc, etc?

I'm on either...

Re: Old Henderson Tone

If you can even still get the material, I've always been curious to hear what a 'modern manufactured' Henderson bore pipe would sound like in Cocobolo. If it would be similar in sound to an old ebony...

Re: Chanter Recommendation?

Maybe you should look for a reed recommendation? I bet with the right reed you can pitch lower with the Naill chanter that you have.

I've played Elliotts and Shepherds in mine and they can hit...

Re: Loudest synthetic bass reed?

My favorite bass reed du jour! :) (One in my Hendersons and in my Sinclairs.)

Good luck!!...
