I use an app called Anytune. It does a fine job recording with a great way of organizing tunes plus has many excellent playback options.

I have one of Michael's smallpipe chanters in A. It has the c natural hole and a hi B key. Works very nicely. I cannot compare tho as I have not played a chanter with a c natural key.
