C is a great pitch too! If I ever get a set of smallpipes, C would be my pitch of choice. E and F might be too small for my fingers, even though I think those would sound lovely.

Reminds me when I saw a website for Wygent reeds a month or so ago, even though he stopped making them years ago.

IIRC he never patented his design, so all those clones reeds must have driven him...

I always wondered if it'd be possible to make smallpipes Higher than D, perhaps E flat, E, or F, I like those pitches.

But yes it seems the problem...
