resign en masse and form your own association.
If you can't get the numbers you have to put up with what you have.
It's called democracy.

Place it in the bell...

Re: Gordon Walker

On this occasion your opinion does not really count for anything.
This is a piping forum where we are, sadly, discussing the probable career end of an outstanding piping talent with the full...

Re: Rspba

I have been reliably informed that 1/ it is the local branch who inform the association of the results and the delay is down to them.
2/ the website does not crash ....it is taken down to allow...

Rspba

OK..... rant time.
The esteemed RSPBA can always find time to fix things that arenít really broken ( MAP etc) but when things ARE broken it is blissfully ignored.
Talking about it being 9am the...

Re: WarMac Pipe Chanters

The original Polypenco chanter (the mottled grey one)was first made in 1973.
To my recollection Shotts first played them in 1974. There were "issues" with reeding them as believe it or not they...

Re: New set of pipes

[QUOTE=Patrick McLaurin;1329410]

I also wonder why Ezee...for band. That strikes me as odd. Bands are generally after bold chanters which need bold drones also. [QUOTE]

In G4 bands are...

In my youth I attended the CoP many times for lessons.
On the sadly few times I was graced by Seamus himself I was always struck by his Calmness and endless patience.
I am utterly convinced that...

Re: Britain to Ban Ivory Sales to Stamp Out 'Abhorrent' Trade

That is quite simply the most appalling statement I have read on the whole issue of "antique" pipes.
The vast majority of absolutely first class, vintage, instruments will have ivory on them...

Re: Britain to Ban Ivory Sales to Stamp Out 'Abhorrent' Trade

I've been researching this at length......Mainly because I do a lot of repairs on old pipes with Ivory.
I am in complete agreement with a ban on "new" ivory.....It is the rather narrow definition of...

They are sharper than "Orchestral pitch" and flatter than anything being played today.
I see you got it reeded around 474..........
