Re: Help with transition to pipes...

David,

It's rare that someone can jump on the pipes with a new reed and launch into a series of tunes . . . unless an experienced piper preps the reed to make it particularly easy.

Re: Kilgour Edinburgh pipes

Same here. There are always at least two sides to a story and sometimes more. Just to be clear, Sandy was not upset with George. Sandy said he paid for George's return to Scotland after George's...

I see your post in Pipe Bands from earlier today and this post. What do you mean "disappear"?

The only time posts don't appear—or disappear—are in the Trading Post (require manual approval) or if...

Re: Kintail gone or not?

That was my first exposure to Kintail pipes. A bandmate had a set and had an assortment of problems, such as the mounts falling off. I can't speak to the majority of sets, of course, just my...

Re: How do you know that you ready to teach?

Re: How do you know that you ready to teach?

I'd like to double up on what Michael (EquusRacer) said. Being able to change up how you are instructing something so that your student "gets it" is key. Is it slowing it down? Is it showing it to...
