Ii seems Wardrobe didn’t know they were supposed to run the bass up thru the left epaulet so to not loose the drones off the shoulder altogether.

Yes.

Only fault I had with Canning’s was the body absorbed moisture...swelling... then the carefully set bridles needed to be re-adjusted to avoid shut off. And re-adjusted again when dry.

Have you checked that all helped joints are snug and and any into the bag stocks are absolutely tight. Reeds snug in the seats. Airtight test on the bag.....zipper fully closed? ( I’ve done that once...
