Re: Best drone reeds for 1990's Kintail

There was a period about 8-9 yrs ago where I had a batch 6 sets of new ez’s to tryout; I found only 1 tenor out of the 12 stayed ‘solid’ while playing. Lots of time micro adjusting, swapping,...

With a constant rock hard bag while playing/marching...keep it there.

Not...

Re: Best drone reeds for 1990's Kintail

I’d wager the errant EZ reed needs a fly’s hair more bridle adjustment to maximize efficiency...possibly coupled with an analysis of maintaining steady air pressure while playing. If the drone...

Re: Chanter reed too weak?

Fwiw...Shepherd standard reeds get my vote. Try a couple of easy and essy-medium strength. Pipers Hut ..OH.
