Hi All,
I was looking at two different specs of drone tops and noticed that there was a big difference in the shape of bushings: one drone has the bushing (the space under the ring cap) flaring out...

Try using REACH DentoTape. It's 2-3$ for the 100 yard box and available at most large grocery and drug stores. It's already waxed, cheaper than any piper's hemp and won't rot away like unwaxed hemp....
