The '83 Kintails I'm working on has an uneven tuning chamber in the middle section. When tuning, the middle section is snug high and low on the pin, but very loose where it should be to tune.

Many thanks for all your suggestions. Used the little mac reamer (3 turns) and the black waxed hemp. Problem solved!
