I have a Long McCallum Poly practice chanter that I was using before this and the tone on the MacRae one is nicer. The bore size seems to be similar though.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It would allow for more creative freedom in choosing MSR tunes and allow for more challenges as a player. I can think of a dozen combinations off the top of my head....
