Naill pipes, EZ Drone reeds with inverted base, Naill Band Chanter, Shepherd reed. Also running a Bb chanter with a Shepherd Bb chanter reed, Drone extenders.

We are a marching band for the most part but we take pride in our sound. New reed dropped to 491. I had to adjust the drone reed screws a little but now I am tuning at the hemp lines.

We were issued new Melvin reeds last night. They are at 494hz. They are loud and I definitely needed my ear pro.

Yes you want low A and High A in pitch right around 466Hz or as close as you can get. 470 is prolly close enough.

McCallum sent me 3 Shepherd reeds with "Bb" stamped on them. They are spot on Bb per my tuner. Thanks to Kenny.

I communicated with the factory and they recommend Shepherd reeds. They are sending me 3 free reeds which is nice. I did try a Shepherd and it seems to work pretty well.

I just bought a Bb chanter and I'm having a hard time finding a reed that tunes to Bb at low A and high A. Most of my reed stash is MG brand, what my band plays. I did try a G1 but no luck there...
