Hello.

I ordered a split stock.
A talented crafman will lathe this for me.

The McGee chanter is 15.6 mm and the McLellan is 18 mm (19.8 with O ring) in diameter.
Hemp is not the solution...

Yes, I saw he makes the appropriate reeds.

Smallpipes are very new for me and I find the original reeds in Bb rather unstable.
They seem to vary greatly in a rather short time....

A few years ago he was supposed to make copy of a Glen bass top that was missing on a set I purchased in the USA.

The blowpipe needed to be sleeved.

He made a new top but never sent any...

Pipe dreams has a list of 25 makers for their SSP reeds but MacLellan is not in it.

Are there such differences between all these makes ?

He got them from Gannaway but never played them.
As far as I could understand, Scotty tyed the pipes in the bag.
