Yes the tuning chambers would probably look like / \. And yes it gradually gets tighter as the pin goes deeper.


But I’m not really too concerned about it anymore, given what Callum and Pip said,...

With regards to your birl issue, I also am only really able to to a 7 slide birl on the Naill chanter (slide down then curl as you go up).


On my Ceol chanter with larger holes I just do a slide...

IMO I much prefer the look of the imitation ivory “bullseye” ring caps over the plain metal ones. I like it 1000x better.
