On one trip I packed my pipe case full of clothes in my regular suitcase and switched it out once I arrived.
But now I just use my rolly carry on as a pipe case, it's very convenient, and I don't mind the extra 2 minutes assembly and take down.
Same again here. You can pad with clothing; socks make very good wrapping for drone parts. Just don't have a knife or anything with you for cutting hemp and you should be good to go. Pipes will break down and fit easily in your carry-on. Good luck.
