Default Is travel to the UK in October a good idea?

Hi all - my wife and I are thinking about spending perhaps 10 days or so in the UK, starting around October 1. Let's see if I can ask this question decently...

Given the evolving political landscape over there, we're asking ourselves if going over there at that time has some risk/negativity involved, relative to potential Brexit-related government and social "volatility", if you will - strikes, mass demonstrations, transit delays/shutdowns, a general anxiety with folks, etc.. Not sure what the best way is to phrase all this. :-)

Put another way, we'd like to know if it's a bad idea to come over then, and if we should just wait a while and see how things sort out. Any counsel and information is appreciated.
Thanks!
Doug
