Default Reattach a blow stock to canmore bag?

I received a set of shuttle pipes from a friend and the blowpipe stock was pulled out and the rubber stock holder on the stock was brittle.
How do I reinsert the stock and seal. (There are no ^^^ standing up from the bag hole)

if the bag is zippered put stock thru there and insert that way if not zippered im sure you have to put stock thru chanter sleeve might have to take chanter stock out and retie.
How brittle is the rubber ? once you insert the stock check see if the rubber grips the stock ok if not you could use jubillee clip or the seal could be kaput. or is the rubber come away from the bag altogether ?

If the grommet that holds the stock has split away from
the bag, a repair will be temporary at best. Recently a
band member salvaged a grommet from a GHB Canmore,
and attempted to glue it in to her shuttle pipe bag, which
had failed in a similar way. A valiant effort, but not a
success, despite the low pressures involved.

Barge Cement may get you through (use it only to reinforce
the grommet, before you attempt to insert your stock) but a
new replacement is the solution.

I had a drone stock grommet fail on a Canmore bag just at the start of a wedding gig about 6 years ago. I believe any repair you will make will be a temporary, emergency measure at best. In a few minutes I tied the drone stock in with some spare shoelace I had in my car and wrapped it with electrical tape and was thus able to play the job. I ordered a replacement Gannaway bag that afternoon and tied it in within the week. That Canmore bag was only 6 years old, BTW, a replacement for one that lasted 9 years.

FWIW, I once had a set of pipes with the blowstick grommet (Canmore) completely pulled apart. I untied the stock, pulled off the entire grommet and ring around the bag material itself until all that was left was the bag material and a hole, then I tied the stock directly into the bag leather bag style. Worked just fine.
