It is the 150th Anniversary of The Black Watch (RHR) of Canada. Here is a tune I composed to commemorate this milestone. My first piobaireachd... enjoy.

pipermacbear,
What a salute for the "150th" year of the Black Watch in Canada. Your first attempt at piobaireach should be listened to by all pipers playing the Great Highland Pipes and worthy of their performance! It really helped to start my day off on a high note. Congratulations! www.wjhmusic.com |

That was great. And I have to confess listening to it on my phone speaker. ....The whole thing was really engaging. Played with passion and conviction. I am super impressed. I'd love to hear it in person someday.
Congrats on 150 yrs., RHR of Canada.

I picked up my copy of "Piobaireachd and It's Interpretation" in 1997, the Kilberry book shortly after... I love the Dr. Dan Reid memorial CDs and Binneas is Boreraig too!
I am very humbled by your comments and appreciate them wholly... I know my Crun A Mach needs a little work, but will be fixing that up as time goes on... Cheers!

I did contact Andrew Wright at Piobaireachd Society and passed on the link. I would like to send the music out to them and to be honest, one of my plans for this year or early next is to self publish volume 2 of my tunes from Montreal and area pipers. It is hard to compose a good tune, and to me this was an even greater challenge... Thanks for listening
