Have you plugged the stocks and blown the bag up to see if it's airtight? I would imagine that it might me simply that your stocks are a little narrower in diameter than the grommets are made to fit. If it's airtight then the only thing that could possibly happen is that, if you were a little heavy handed you might pull the stock out of the bag. A little self sealing rubber plumbers tape (the kind that the bag makers supply in strips with the bags) around where the stock meets the grommet or a hose clamp like the ones used to clamp the chanter stock will secure things.

In addition...you might run a wet bead of diluted dish liquid around the top of the collar to see bif you get air leak bubbles when playing.

While ur at it ...might as well check the other sticks, the seam, and under the neck.

Just tape in it. Wider electrical or plumbers tape works well. It may be airtight, but not likely secure. That grommet receives a lot of stress from angling the blowpipe towards the mouth, so ensure it's secure as possible.

"stocks turning is bad" is a rule of thumb, but it's a good one.

Simplest to tape it up to make sure.
